Crude oil prices steady Friday
|
|
The dollar index, measuring the greenback against a basket of
currencies, was down 0.14 percent early. Oil prices, meanwhile, have
found a new holding pattern, hovering near $79 since mid-February.

Crude oil prices back under $79
|
|
The U.S. Energy Information Administration said crude inventories
increased by 3 million barrels in the week ending Feb. 19. At the same
time, comparing four-week rolling averages, the EIA said distillate fuel
demand had fallen 6.8 percent compared with the same period a year ago.
